Laughter Yoga
Laughter Yoga is a combination of laughing and breathing exercises, with gentle movement.
It is great fun to participate and the health benefits are enormous.
Benefits of Laughter Yoga include:
Boosts the mood by releasing endorphins; reduces stress and strengthens the immune system; improves productivity and efficiency, and increases energy; acts as a social connector - enhancing quality of life and relationships; gets you through the tough times by providing positivity and strength in adversity.
Contraindications: Whilst Laughter Yoga is safe for the majority of people it is not suitable for anyone with a hernia or hemorrage; severe or unmedicated heart disease, chest pain or angina; or if you’re in the third trimester of pregnancy or prone to miscarriage.
Laughter Yoga Workshops
This is a 1-hour workshop full on fun laughing and breathing exercises, with gentle actions.
You’ll be led through a warm-up, then exercises, with music towards the end.
Throughout the session there will be educational snippets about Laughter Yoga so that you get to learn more about it and the benefits it provides.
Workshops can be general or themed.
